This session focuses on implementing effective fall prevention staff training programs and best practices for engaging staff in the fall prevention program. Recommendations for educating team members on principles of fall prevention and applying learning to daily care practices will be emphasized with a focus on empowering staff to promote safety and actively engage in a culture of fall prevention on an ongoing basis. Best practices for orientation, annual training, post-fall resident-specific intervention communications and promoting the program through performance recognition will be covered.
